Apple opened Canadian pre-orders on Tuesday for three new home devices — the HomePod mini 2, a fourth-generation Apple TV 4K and a new smart display called Apple HomeView — all built around its revamped Siri AI assistant, according to the company’s Canadian newsroom.
The HomePod mini 2 is priced at $199 in Canada and comes in pink, green, blue, white and midnight, with in-store availability beginning Friday, Oct. 30. Apple says the speaker uses its S10 chip, can recognize up to six household members by voice and adds Sound Glow, a light effect on its top surface that pulses with the music. Siri AI is to reach the speaker later through a free software update, in English.
The new Apple TV 4K costs $429 in a single 128 GB configuration and reaches stores on Friday, Nov. 13. Apple says its A19 chip delivers up to 50 per cent faster CPU performance and up to twice the graphics performance of the previous model, adds a dedicated AV1 video decoder and includes three far-field microphones for hands-free Siri. The Siri Remote gains Find My support with Precision Finding. Paired with four HomePod mini 2 or second-generation HomePod speakers, the box supports four-speaker surround sound.
That price is a steep climb. iPhone in Canada noted the previous Apple TV 4K launched here in 2022 at $179 and $199, before later Canadian price increases to $279 and $349. Apple says Siri AI is also coming in beta to Apple TV 4K (second generation) and later models.
HomeView, also $429, pairs a 7-inch Liquid Retina display with a domed speaker base and comes in silver, starlight, rose pink and space grey; a wall-mounted model in space grey and silver costs the same. Schneider Home wall mounts start at $79.95 (USB-C) and $109.95 (AC wired), with a $179.95 Power over Ethernet mount due in early 2027. HomeView recognizes up to six users by face and arrives Nov. 13. Apple says Canadian French support will follow later through a free software update.
Apple also has Canadian prices for its Apple Home Collection accessories, made with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric, which go on sale in December, with some items arriving in early 2027. iPhone in Canada reported the LG Video Doorbell Wired starts at $349.95, the LG Smart Deadbolt Lock is $479.95 and the LG and Schneider Home smart thermostats start at $279.95.
Feature availability varies by region, language and software version. Apple’s footnotes say several Siri AI features require a paired Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, and some server-based Apple Intelligence features are subject to daily usage limits. All prices are Apple’s Canadian list prices at announcement.
