Léger poll puts PQ on track for power as Milliard makes referendum the ballot question
With two days to Monday’s Quebec vote, the Parti Québécois leads at 29% while Liberals warn a St-Pierre Plamondon win would reopen the sovereignty fight.
Published: October 4, 2026 · 1 min read
Milliard, on a final swing through key ridings, told a Cowansville crowd: “I’m not the one who chose this, but this is a referendum campaign,” standing behind a lectern marked “Economy, Yes; Referendum, No,” according to the Montreal Gazette. Liberals hope a collapsing CAQ vote will still clear a path to deny St-Pierre Plamondon a free hand on sovereignty. Polls close Monday evening.
