Published: September 29, 2026 · Updated: September 30, 2026 · 1 min read

Twelve of Sunday’s 14 NFL games finished as one-score contests—the most on any Sunday in league history—capped by Denver’s 30–26 comeback over the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football.

The Broncos trailed 16–0 at halftime before Bo Nix and safety Talanoa Hufanga sparked a rally. Hufanga returned an interception 66 yards for a touchdown to put Denver ahead 23–19, Stafford answered with a 48-yard score, and Nix’s short keeper with 47 seconds left made it 30–26. Hufanga’s end-zone interception as time expired sealed the win. Denver improved to 2–1; the Rams fell to 1–2.

Elsewhere, the Las Vegas Raiders rose to 3–0 with a 35–27 win in New Orleans, becoming only the seventh team since the 1970 merger to open 3–0 after posting the league’s worst record the prior season. Baltimore beat Dallas on a walk-off 56-yard field goal in Rio de Janeiro in the first game since the merger with field goals from both teams in the final 10 seconds. Six teams won after go-ahead scores inside the final three minutes.
